The RIGEL Initiative is a Candian Corporation with interests is a number of areas. The primary business of the RIGEL Initiative is operating a cottage resort in the Algonquin Highlands, however there is also involvement in software development, and a number of aspects in Curling.

The Junior Slam Series is an event management company that specializes in hosting highly competitive events across Canada. The Series has also developed an industry leading "live scoring" platform for Curling that is used by all of the Series events as well as associated tours and a handful of other curling events. The RIGEL Initiative has an ownership stake in the Junior Slam Series and develops the IT infra-stucture that it runs on.
Curl Coach 2 is the industry leading software solution for coaching curling teams. With support for regular curling, mixed doubles and stick doubles, all of the major ways to play the game are included. Track games by recording what actually happens on the ice and then deep dive into the statistics to identify strengths and weaknesses both in the team you are coaching and your opposition.
Curl Clocks puts the full functionality of thinking time clocks on your phone. Record the time used for each shot by each team and review to see where time is being spent wisely and where it is wasted. Pair with an iPad to display clocks for the players. Import the results into Curl Coach 2 and side-by side a game review with the thinking time clocks
NOGN is a work in progress concept for simplifying compliance with Rowan's Law (Ontario, Canada's Concussion management protocol) for athlete's of all ages. With NOGN an Athlete can share there attested status with their coach and with the various events they participate in. Anyone they have shared with can file a concussion incident, after which NOGN takes the athlete through the various stages to return to play - and all other people being shared with are made aware of the state and the recovery stage. This project is currently on hold.
Artist's Grid is a work a utility app developed for Artists who use an iPad to preview reference images that they are using to create a work of art, often painting sketching, etc, but other applications are possible. The initial version allows artists to pull in up to 6 active images, crop, rotate, mirror or straighten the image before displaying it with a grid overlay. The image may be zoomed, panned, etc. with the grid staying in the same place on the image for reference.
Bingo Board is a an app for AppleTV used to follow along with Radio Bingo broadcasts Originally developed for 'Canoe FM Radio Bingo', the system is now also used by Amherst Island radio.
The RIGEL Initiative is involved in a range of software development projects for a select group of clients. Primarily development is for mobile applications on iOS and Android, although a number of Web Apps have also been developed using the Meteor.js framework.
